Why is it that long weekends seem to go by quicker than a normal weekend? I swear I was just celebrating the beginning of my four day weekend yesterday, and just like that it's already Monday again. Now I'm attempting to look back on the long Thanksgiving filled weekend and figure out what I did, but it all seems like such a blur.
Thursday.
Thanksgiving. Steven and I spent Thanksgiving with my family at my parent's house. My grandmother and my mom's sister came into town, so we had a full table for dinner. I stuffed myself with as much dressing and sweet potato casserole as I could handle and then made a quick trip back home to change into my sweat pants. It was necessary.
Thursday night Steven and I finally decided to decorate our Christmas tree and put out a few more Christmas decorations. Our first tree together turned out beautiful if I do say so myself!
Friday.
Black Friday. My mom and I decided to brave the crowds and headed to the mall Friday morning (and by morning I mean around 10:00am, not 4:00am like crazies). It was surprisingly calm at the mall (probably because we were too late for all the doorbuster sales), but that was more than ok with us. We found a few good deals, had lunch and a few mimosas, then headed home. My kind of shopping day.
Friday evening Steven and I packed up and drove to Georgia to spend the rest of the weekend with his family.
Saturday.
Thanksgiving #2. We had another full table for Thanksgiving round 2 with Steven's family, and we once again spent the day stuffing out face with deliciousness that is Thanksgiving food. And then at some point during the day I apparently decided to become a reindeer.
I spent most of the day a nervous wreck for the Iron Bowl and that's about all I want to talk about on that subject. It was bad. Real bad. But then I found this picture and it made me feel just a teeny tiny bit better.
Sunday.
Relaxing. After helping Steven's family with their Christmas decorations, Steven and I headed back to Birmingham to spend the rest of the day relaxing with the pups (who were being spoiled rotten at their Nanna & Pawpaw's house while we were gone). Apparently we didn't get quite enough relaxation in last night because I felt like I had been asleep maybe five minutes when my alarm began blaring this morning.

Ignore the ugliness of wires everywhere. Those are in the process of being hidden.

Is it Friday yet?
