Achieving Long Term Goals One Morning At A Time

At the beginning of January I set fifteen goals that I wanted to achieve for myself in 2015. I wrote each goal down and posted them in my office as a daily reminder of the things that I want to accomplish before the end of the year. Some of my goals will be fun and easy to achieve (such as reading more and taking time to relax in a bubble bath) and some of my goals will be more difficult (such as learning to love the kitchen). The most important goals I set for myself, however, have to do with my health. A couple of goals that I set for myself health wise include, meal planning, sticking to an exercise program, and waking up earlier than necessary in the mornings before work to establish a healthy and productive morning routine. Achieving one of these three goals would be great, but I know that achieving all three of them will not only be beneficial to my health, but also beneficial to my overall well being. 

So, with my 2015 goals in mind, I set out to Target a few weeks ago to get inspired and motivated for the new year. My first stop in Target was the grocery. There I picked up Belvita Bites mini breakfast biscuits and V8 Veggie Blends. These two products are not only make a delicious start to my day, but they also aid in helping me achieve all three of my 2015 health goals. 
I know it's only been a few short weeks, but I can already feel such a difference in my attitude, productivity, and overall health. I've been setting my alarm an hour earlier than needed on work days. It makes for an early morning, but the benefits are more than worth it. I give credit to my delicious breakfast for giving me the morning energy to kick start my day and help me get housework done before the sun even rises. 
So far 2015 is looking to be one healthy and productive year. I plan to keep up this new morning routine I have started throughout the year and hopefully the years to follow. After stocking up on Belvita bites and V8 veggie blends, I hit up the other side of Target to see what else I could purchase in order to help me achieve me 2015 health goals. One thing I struggle with every morning is getting up the first time my alarm goes off. I'll admit it, I hit the snooze button a few times before finally peeling myself out of bed. That's why I decided to purchase this cute and efficient alarm clock. Instead of using my phone, which I keep next to me in bed, as an alarm clock, I started using this actual alarm clock to wake me up in the mornings. The trick is that I set this clock on the other side of the bedroom so it all but forces me to get up out of bed to turn it off in the mornings. Once I'm out of bed there is no need to continue to press the snooze button.

  1. I haven't tried those breakfast biscuits but they would work great for days that I need to grab and go! I used to drink V8 a lot and haven't in awhile but I loved it! Maybe I need to get a bottle soon.

    I really love getting things done in the morning before work! By the time I leave, I have worked out, blogged, posted MCB's pot for the day, showered, dressed, packed my lunch, did dishes/laundry/ironing and played with my dogs!

  2. I'm interested in trying the veggie blend! I used to juice multiple times a week, but it is very time consuming. This may be a good alternative!
