How far along: 31 weeks down and around 8.5 weeks to go!
Due Date: November 7, 2015
Baby is the size of: a pineapple. She's about 18 inches long and weighing in between 3.5 and 4 pounds. Baby girl is now processing information in that big ole' brain of hers, tracking light, and perceiving signals from all five senses!
Symptoms: Back pain and SPD, especially at night and when I first wake up in the morning. My belly button is almost completely flat and the top part has already started popping out! I'm still wearing my wedding rings during the day, but I've stopped wearing any other rings because they were starting to get too tight and uncomfortable. My wedding rings slide on pretty easily first thing in the morning, but I usually take them off as soon as I get home in the afternoons and leave them off until the next morning.
Gender: Our sweet baby GIRL!
Name: Charlie Elizabeth
Movement: Lots of waves, rolls, and hiccups! Based on where I feel her movements, I don't think she has made her way into the head down position yet. I talked to my doctor about this last week, and she told me we wouldn't worry about it until around 36 weeks. Pray my stubborn little girl decides to turn the proper way before then!
Nursery: It's still a work in progress, but we are getting there! My goal is to have it (mostly) complete by the end of the month. You can see her nursery inspiration here.
Labor Signs: A few braxton hicks contractions here and there, but thankfully nothing more!
Sleep: I seem to have a pattern of a good night sleep followed by a bad night sleep. I'm waking up several times a night due to hip and pelvic pain and trying to turn myself over only makes the pain worse. Once I finally flip over and get comfortable again, I'm able to fall right back to sleep.
Best moment this week: Spending the long holiday weekend at the lake and welcoming college football season back into our lives!
Missing anything: I'm not going to lie, I missed sipping on a beer (or two) during the football games this weekend.
Cravings/Aversions: Nothing other than sweets.
Mood: Excited and anxious! Our baby girl's due date is less than two months away!
Looking forward to: My baby shower on Sunday. I can't wait to celebrate my little love!
Husband is: Just as anxious to meet his baby girl as I am!
New mommy question: What are a few hospital bag necessities? Or what are some things that you packed and could have gone without?

I stop by to read your updates week after week. I don't know why I love them so much but I do ;)
ReplyDeleteYou honestly don't need too much in your hospital bag. Toiletries and a change of clothes to go home in for you, a pair of basketball shorts for your husband, and a change of clothes to take baby home in (maybe in a couple sizes). Plus things like camera, charger, etc. The hospital provides the rest!
ReplyDeleteYou can really see your dark hair in this pic and I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI just started to feel the baby...and those first little flutters are such a weird feeling!!! I can't imagine how it will be when this nugget is really moving!
And YES to missing beers during college football.
Yay for football season being back!!! If you didn't miss the alcohol before, football season will definitely bring that out, huh? Cant wait to see you at your shower! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're getting there!! I can't believe she will be here in such a short amount of time. How exciting! I am dying to see her nursery!
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned I love the name you have picked out for your sweet girl? So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSweet-loving probably has something to do with having a little girl inside you . After all - sugar and spice, and everything nice. Right? Haha! I literally ate chocolate 3 times per day when preggo. I am paying for it now (Still 10-15 lbs overweight). But I couldnt help it!
ReplyDeleteGetting close, Mama!! She'll be here so soon! Since I'm still in the hospital I'd thought id share my thoughts on what to bring: I'm so happy I have pillows and blankets from home. That first shower was amazing and I even put on some light make up afterwards, it felt great to feel human and put together again. So bring your own toiletries, but all other feminine products and baby stuff is provided!
