How far along: 32 weeks and officially 8 months pregnant!
Due Date: November 7, 2015
Baby is the size of: a squash. She is about 19 inches long and weighing anywhere from 4 to 4.5 pounds. She is spending most of her time these days practicing swallowing, breathing, and sucking.
Symptoms: Still the same - SPD, minor back aches, and heartburn.
Gender: Our sweet baby GIRL!
Name: Charlie Elizabeth
Movement: Her kicks have now becomes wave like movements as she is growing bigger and running out of room in there! She also gets the hiccups a couple of times a day.
Charlie Beth has earned the nickname "lazy baby" because she just isn't a very active little thing. Sure, I feel her moving throughout the day, but she is pretty quiet compared to most babies. There have been a couple of days where I've had to bribe her to move with can of Mountain Dew. Yesterday at my doctor's appointment I mentioned to the nurse that I hadn't felt her move all morning. They went ahead and ordered a non-stress test, and the moment the nurse hooked me up to the monitors she started kicking like crazy! She's such a stubborn little thing!
Nursery: Big things happened over the weekend in the nursery! My mom and I spent Saturday shopping and decorating, and I'm thrilled to say that the nursery is almost complete! There are just a few more touches that need to be made. I absolutely adore her room, and I can't wait to share the finished product with everyone! Be on the lookout for a nursery post coming soon. You can see her nursery inspiration here.
Labor Signs: Nothing, thank goodness!
Sleep: It's as good as can be expected. I surprisingly can get through most nights without getting up for a potty break, but I do toss and turn most of the night. I find that if I stay in one position for too long my hips start to ache pretty bad. I usually spend my nights rolling from one side to the other every couple of hours.
Best moment this week: My baby shower on Sunday. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who already love our little girl. I had the most amazing time celebrating our daughter.
Missing anything: Since football season has started back I've found myself really wanting an ice cold beer while watching the games.
Cravings/Aversions: Nothing to note. I really haven't had much of an appetite lately. I think that's because there just isn't a whole lot of room in there!
Mood: Getting anxious to meet our daughter!
Looking forward to: Washing and organizing all of Charlie Beth's new clothes that she received at the shower. I've never been more thrilled to do laundry in my life!
Husband is: Just as anxious as I am to meet our sweet girl!
New mommy question: When it comes to bath time, what are you favorite products to use on an infant (soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc.)? I know Johnson and Johnson is a popular choice, but I've recently read some things about their products that make me uneasy. I would like to use something more natural on baby's delicate skin.

Such a cute sneak peek at the nursery!! I can't believe how close you are!!!! EEE!!!
ReplyDeleteThat "Let Them Be Little" sign is so stinking cute! I can't believe how close you are to having her, that beer is just around the corner ;)
ReplyDeleteI use Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile liquid soap on me because it's cruelty-free, organic, fair trade, etc. I don't have any kids, so I've not used it on a baby, but I've certainly read where people have, so it might be worth looking into if you're wanting a "natural" product.

I do what I want.
That sneak peak of the nursery!!! Heart eye emoji over here. I LOVE TI!! So close to meeting that little girl!!
ReplyDeleteWe use Johnson and Johnson on Abe... But he doesn't have sensitive skin and we're not the most "natural" people in the world... Haha, but I've heard great things about Honest Co and Babyganics!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it is flying by!! Can't wait to see her beautiful nursery!!
ReplyDeleteIt's all coming together! I can't believe you're 32 weeks and I have a 5 week old! So crazy! We have been using babyganics products and really love all of it including their soap, lotion, and hand sanitizer. I got most of it at either Target or Babies R Us. We also have some aveno bath products and like those too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the sneak peak of the nursery! I have been so busy this week that I haven't had time to catch up reading the blogs that I follow but I made time today to make sure I checked out your bumpdate post!

I've used Aveeno on myself in the past and really like it so that's what I got for Ella. My SIL uses Burt's Bees on her kids.
ReplyDeleteThat bump is perfection!!! :) And I bet your little girl will be just as stubborn when she's born. I feel like Kensie acts the exact same in my arms, as when she was in the womb! Such a funny thing!!! :-P
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda dying over here to see her nursery! I can already tell it's going to be perfect and beautiful! You are looking so good mama!
ReplyDeleteIm a little behind, and catching up, but you're looking so good! I'm glad that miss Charlie Beth coroporated with the non stress test (which should be called Make Momma Stress Test!) I can't wait to see the completed nursery. We've been using Aveeno baby soap on Wyatt for his newborn sponge baths. So far, so good! I didn't feel good about Johnson and Johnson either.
ReplyDeleteAww its coming so soon! I am so excited for you guys! My sis in law just had her baby and her theme was grey elephants!! Super adorbs!
ReplyDeleteWeek 32 you HAVE to tell me where you got that cardigan/komono?? It is so cute!
