I'm the kind of girl who looks down at my wedding ring and smiles multiple times a day. Sometimes it still doesn't feel real that I am actually married!
I'm the kind of girl who stresses way too much about the little things in life. The things that don't even matter in the grand scheme of things.
I'm the kind of girl who lets my dogs sleep wherever they want in the bed. Even if they decide to take over my pillow or make me sleep in the fetal position at night.
I'm the kind of girl who sets three alarms in the morning and then presses snooze at least twice on all three alarms. I'm also the kind of girl who despises being woken up by an alarm in the mornings.
I'm the kind of girl who is constantly planning out her life. Whether it be the next home renovation project, the next trip, or the eventual start to a family, I'm going to make a plan and do my best to stick with it.
I'm the kind of girl who will sometimes go more than two weeks without touching the laundry, and then do six or more loads in one day.
I'm the kind of girl who has an irrational fear of fires and home robbery. I think my real fear is my dogs being home alone and helpless if either of those two things were to happen.
I'm the kind of girl who could go shopping every single day and still find nothing to wear when trying to get ready for work in the morning. Our bedroom currently looks as though a tornado has just hit it with all the clothes I tried on and then threw on the floor this morning.
I'm the kind of girl who loves to be outside, but only if I am outside tailgating, lounging by the pool or lake, or sitting on the porch drinking a delicious cocktail. Otherwise, I'm not really the outdoorsy kind of girl.
I'm the kind of girl who loves to go shopping alone, but also the kind of girl who is petrified to show up at a social event or restaurant alone.
I'm the kind of girl who places my family and friends above everything else.
I think we may be long lost twinsies. I love to shop alone, but am petrified of being places alone. When I wait for people in public, I always look like a loser and stare at my phone wishing it to ring... so then I get on Instagram and pretend to look cool.
ReplyDeleteIrrational fear of a home robbery.. yes. While I'm home. And then I have fears that extend to being raped and left for dead. Hahaha. I call that too many Lifetime movies. =)
ReplyDeleteSame! Us women are so complicated, aren't we? Great post!

It still hasn't fully hit me that I'm married, and we're on month three. haha. I feel like it's a sleepover!
ReplyDeleteI still catch myself staring at my rings and being like "oh yeah, I'm married. That's awesome."
ReplyDeleteAlso...I'm the WORST at letting laundry stack up!! I'm trying to do better now that we have our own washer and dryer, but we'll see how long that lasts...
I've been married a little over a year and it still brings a huge smile on my face to look down and see my wedding bands and of course my husband lol!! I stress about weather more than any sane person should!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with planning, laundry, & shopping alone. I much prefer shopping alone but other activities? No thanks. I did go to a concert alone once though...it was slightly awkward at first but because it was a standing room only thing it wasn't as bad.
ReplyDeleteha! We are more alike then I thought! I'm the type of girl who is almost just like you, love :) Love your heart and thanks for sharing girl!
ReplyDeleteI have a fear of fires too - because of my dog and cat :-/ All the other *stuff* is replaceable. Well, not some of it but I do have that fear, ugh. I also like to shop alone and hate showing up to parties alone! Restaurants don't bother me as much. I feel like at a party, everyone stops to look at who just walked in hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I am pretty sure each of these is basically me too! Especially the fear of something happening to my dogs....and having a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear.
ReplyDeleteI an relate to like 90% of these! So funny! xoxox
ReplyDeleteOh! and ConGrats Mrs. Sparks ;)

My husband gets SO annoyed by my multiple alarms going off in the morning! He can go back to sleep for a little while after I eventually get up though, so I don't feel too bad for him ;)
ReplyDeleteWe are similar in a lot of these. The dogs always get the choice spots, it's their right! ;) I love shopping alone I don't want to slow down, move people. Haha!
ReplyDeleteSeriously every time I read your posts I think, wow we are so much alike! Amen to the shopping alone, being afraid of a burglar, stressing too much, planning out every detail, and pretty much everything else on this list!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure we share about 95% of these!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you about shopping alone! That's why working in San Francisco close to Union Square is just trouble for me!
ReplyDeleteLove these kinds of posts! I definitely hate being woken up by an alarm too, and I have multiple ones set for the morning lol
ReplyDeleteYes. I'm outdoorsey in that I like to drink outside. And I agreed with almost every single one of these. Including the irrational fear of robbery and someone totally breaking in.
ReplyDeleteLaundry is a never ending process. I so stress over things I have no control over. Once we realize that I think life will be better. And if I had a rock on my hand too I'd look at it daily and feel so lucky. :D
