Fourth of July Weekend on the Lake

Just like that, another amazing Fourth of July holiday weekend is over and in the books. The long holiday weekend was full of family, food, games, boats, and booze. It was the perfect combination.

My holiday weekend started early when I met my family on Wednesday evening at our lake house. The first of the family began arriving on Wednesday followed by the rest of the family showing up Thursday, and finally more family and friends driving down on Friday morning. We had a full house, and we loved every single minute of it.

We spent our days playing on the lake and our evenings grilling out and playing games by the water. The boys fished while the girls baked in the sun. We tubed, skied, laughed, and floated the days away, and we topped the weekend off with an amazing firework show over the water on Saturday night. It truly was perfect.

Like always, the weekend flew by way too quickly. I cherish these moments that I get to spend with my family, and I can't wait to do it all over again just as soon as possible!
