It Would Be Easier To Sell The House And Live Out Of Our Car

10.20.2014

Friday afternoon the husband and I embarked on yet another road trip across the south. As much as we travel these days, it would be easier and cheaper if we sold our house and took up residence in our car. Let me just put it in perspective for you. We traded in my car for a new car in May. Since then, we have put 10,000 miles on it. Yes, you read that correctly. We've put 10,000 miles on my pretty new car in only a short five months. I can't believe it either, but it's the truth.

Anyway, I guess you only live once and all that mess so we better live up, right? Plus, we both agree that we should take the time now to travel as much as possible. Once babies enter the picture our weekend getaways won't be so easy and won't happen nearly as frequently.

Back to the point.

Friday afternoon the husband and I packed up the car (again) and headed west for Mississippi. I'll admit, I was a little bitter heading back to the town that crushed my football team only two short weeks ago, but it's near impossible to stay mad at a pretty little town like Oxford. My husband is a huge Tennessee fan (I know, it what world does an Alabama girl fall for a Tennessee boy?!). We originally planned to go to Knoxville next weekend for the Alabama v. Tennessee game, but Oxford is a closer drive, my brother is there, and my parents decided to also drive over to Oxford this past weekend, so it made more sense to change our plans and head to Oxford instead of Knoxville.
We spent Saturday tailgating, cheering on the Tide to a 59-0 victory over Texas A&M, and then watching Ole Miss hang on to their undefeated season after winning over Tennessee. And with that, another successful and exhausting football weekend is in the books.

No worries, we have anther jammed packed football Saturday coming up again this weekend. It's also Alabama v. Tennessee week, so the rivalry is running strong in the Sparks' house right now!
