The
holidays are in full force, and Steven and I have been working around the clock
to get our home sparkling clean and decorated for Christmas. This Christmas is
especially special for Steven and I because it will be our first married Christmas
together. Along with that, it will also be our first Christmas to host guests
in our home.
Steven
and I moved into our home in August of 2013, and this will be the very first
time that we will host guests for the weekend. Needless to say, I've had to do
a lot to get our guest room in tip-top shape! We finally got around to hanging
a few pictures on the wall, organizing the furniture, and hanging curtains. It
was long overdue, but I'm so glad to have a freshly decorated room for our
guests to enjoy.
In
addition to getting the guest bedroom ready for our family, I also put my
creative skills to work by creating a welcome basket. Our family members are
making the effort to travel to Alabama to see us over the holidays, so the
least I can do is make them feel welcome in our home for the weekend. In this
basket, I wanted to include things that they not only could enjoy while
visiting with us, but things that would also support their health and keep them
energized throughout the holiday season. After all, once they leave our house
they will still have a lot of travel to go before wrapping up the holiday
season.
To keep
their immune systems working at their best during their holiday travel, I
headed to Wal-Mart to purchase Ester-C 24-HourImmune Support inside of the welcome basket. Ester-C is a form of VitaminC designed to stay in the white blood cells for 24 hours, which in
turn provides all day immune system support (via). This is something that is
important to keep in mind no matter what time of year it is, but it's
especially important during the hustle and bustle of the holidays. It's
important to me that Steven and I support our guests’ health while on vacation
so they can enjoy themselves as much as possible. I also included a few other
goodies, such as Vitamin Water and granola bars to keep energy levels up during
holiday travel as well as a couple of yummy indulgences. After all, who can
resist chocolate, especially during the holiday season?
It's my
hopes that this welcome basket will help our guests feel more at home during
their stay with us in a couple of weeks. I know how hard it is to travel over
the holidays, and we are so grateful that our family has chosen to come visit
us. I can't wait to welcome them with this adorable basket when they arrive!

This is such a thoughtful blend of gifts for your guests! I love that you make your guests feel so welcome with the comforts of home! #client
