Bumpdate || Week 11

4.22.2015

Sorry for all the baby posts over the last week. I'm finally all caught up with bumpdates, so from here on out I am planning to share pregnancy updates once a week, most likely on Wednesdays.

---------------------------------------------------------
I see a little bitty bump starting to form!
How far along: 11 weeks

Due Date: November 7, 2015

Baby is the size of: A lime! 1.6 inches from crown to rump and weighing about 0.25 ounces. I was shocked when I saw that this weeks fruit. Baby S has grown so much in such a short period of time!

Symptoms: I'm thrilled to report that my energy seems to be making a comeback! I came home and cooked dinner twice last week! That may not seem very significant to most, but I've probably cooked dinner a total of two times since finding out I was pregnant. This was a big deal!

Gender: Our friends and family all seem to be sticking to their original predictions, and I'm still on the fence. I think I'm scared to make a guess and then be wrong about it.

Name: We're waiting until after we find out the gender to reveal the name.

Movement: Still too early.

Nursery: The man cave got a decent cleaning this weekend. We'll start moving the furniture out of that room in the coming weeks so it will be ready for a fresh coat of paint after we find out the gender.

Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing mainly regular clothes, but I am finding that my pants no longer button and my shirts are becoming noticeably tighter (I put 6 shirts on this morning before I found one I felt comfortable enough in to wear to work). Thank goodness for warmer weather because all I've been wearing lately are maxi dresses and flowy sundresses

Sleep: Still great, besides waking up in the middle of the night for a potty break.

Best moment this week: I have two from this week. The first was hearing our sweet baby's heartbeat yesterday at my doctor appointment! I was almostttttttt able to sneak an extra ultrasound in yesterday because the nurse couldn't find the heartbeat (and I was unusually calm about it. I knew in my heart everything was just fine). The doctor wanted to give it one more shot herself before sending me over for an ultrasound, and she was finally able to find it. Apparently baby is growing like crazy and has already moved up out of my pelvic bone area and into my stomach. The nurse was looking way too low for the heartbeat. Once the doctor moved the doppler up onto my stomach, she found it right away. This also explains why my pants are already too tight and my bump is already starting to show!

My second best moment was standing next to my best friend as she married the man of her dreams on Saturday! It was such a beautiful wedding, and I'm so happy for her.

Missing anything: Nope... well, I kind of missed sipping mimosas with the girls on Saturday as we got ready for the wedding, but I settled with my sparkling cider.

Cravings/Aversions: I'm still all about the sweets, and I'm still turning my nose up at warm veggies.

Mood: Still happy as can be! I can tell my emotional side is starting to come out more these days, however. I've been crying at the silliest things!

Looking forward to: Spending a couple of days at the lake this weekend with our best friends. I'm in desperate need of some sunshine and laughs with friends!

Husband is: So adorable around me and the newly forming little bump! I just melt when he comes up behind me after work, puts his hands on my stomach, and ask how the baby and I are doing. So sweet!!

New mommy question: Nothing new this week. Thank you all SO much for all your helpful tips and advice from my previous questions!

  3. Love that it's finally maxi dress season! PTL! Haha! And my guess for Baby Sparks is a girl! The old wives' tale says carrying high = girl. It worked for me, so that's my guess! :)

  4. I just love reading your bump updates! I'm so glad you got to hear the little one's heartbeat! It's the best feeling ever! I was also a little scared to make a guess in case I was wrong so I just let everyone else take theirs and I kept what I was guessing it was just between Dan and I.

  5. Yay for energy!! Sounds like you had some really great and memorable moments this week. I am trying to decide if I am on team girl or team boy for you. With Laura....I just knew it was a boy no doubt in my mind. With you, I am leaning towards girl but I am not 100% sure I want that to be my final answer. :)

  6. Awwww, look at that little bump!!!! So cute!! I am living in maxi dresses. I am not sure I will even put on that pair of maternity jeans I bought ever again during this pregnancy. I still say boy. :) I'm so glad you could hear the heartbeat -- it is literally the one thing that puts me at ease during all these appointments. :)

  7. Yay for starting to show! If you want to make your pants/jeans last, I'd recommend a Bella Band for the next couple of weeks (makes it so you can wear your pants without zipping/buttoning them.
Enjoy the weekend at the lake!

  9. I remember the first time I heard Donald's heartbeat. It wasn't much later before I felt the funniest little things that felt like butterflies tickling me inside my stomach. It was him moving. You have so many great times ahead. Love ya. Ms.Kat
