Bumpdate || Week 22

7.08.2015

22w3d

How far along: 22 weeks!

Due Date: November 7, 2015

Baby is the size of: A papaya or spaghetti squash! Shes around 10.5-11.8 inches long and weighing in somewhere over a pound. She must have hit a growth spurt over the weekend because her kicks are feeling much stronger this week.

Symptoms: Pregnancy breakouts (not fun!), aching hips and legs when I first wake up in the morning, and heartburn. All things to be expected and nothing to complain about!

Gender: Our sweet baby GIRL!

Name: Charlie Elizabeth

Movement: Like I said above, I think she hit a growth spurt over the weekend because her kicks and jabs are feeling much stronger this week. She still likes to play shy around her daddy, but she is quick to show off when no one else is around to feel her. My brother and grandmother were both able to feel a quick kick over the holiday weekend. I'm determined to get her moving for Steven this week!

Nursery: We haven't done much to the room since painting it and installing the crib. We do have all the furniture expect for the changing table, so all that's left is arranging the room and decorating it. You can see her nursery inspiration here

Maternity Clothes: Yep. Pretty much all day, everyday. I did find a really cute non-maternity bathing suit at Target earlier this summer, so I bought it in all three colors and have been rocking it at the lake on the weekends. I'm hoping they will last me the rest of the summer.

Sleep: I'm waking up a few times a night to aching hips and legs, but I can usually turn to the other side and fall right back asleep.

Best moment this week: Spending the Fourth of July holiday weekend at the lake with family! We had so much fun, and I was so sad to see the weekend come to an end.

Missing anything: I actually didn't miss sipping on boat drinks and cocktails as much as I thought I would this past weekend.

Cravings/Aversions: I hate mayonnaise. Like, I really despise the stuff. Apparently, however, Charlie Beth is a big fan. We made sandwiches the first night at the lake last week, and for some reason I really wanted a tomato and mayonnaise sandwich (totally a southern thing, I know). It was the best sandwich I had ever eaten! In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I made 3 more over the weekend.

Mood: So happy and grateful to be carrying this little girl in my belly!

Looking forward to: Our beach trip in a few weeks!

Husband is: Ready to feel those sweet baby girl kicks!

New mommy question: Nothing new this week.

  1. Still looking good mama!!! I do have a maternity swimsuit that I got at Target that you're more than welcome to if you want ! Sheffy is the same way with B with the kicking -- it seems they want to save them all for us. :)

  2. You just glow girl! Love love the pregnancy look on you :) Gracie was shy about letting anyone feel her move until 26 weeks, the little stinker! Now Chris can watch her move because we can see her movement through the belly now, so weird and amazing and awesome all at the same time.

  3. You are just glowing :) So fun that you can feel her moving stronger now! That is so funny about the mayo. I am not a fan of it in the least bit, so it would be super strange for me to have a sandwich like that as well.

  4. I'm so glad to hear you and Charlie Beth are doing so well! How fun that others got to feel her too but funny she's still hiding from Daddy :)

  5. Totally laughing at your cravings! Thankfully the weirdest thing I've craved is iced coffee and salt/vinegar chips together. So gross! Haha!

  7. You have such a cute baby bump! How funny that she is making you a mayo lover. My sister is going to have her baby girl within the next 2 weeks and I can't wait to have my hands on a new baby. I can only imagine how excited you are!
