Coming Home to a Birthday Surprise

I finally made it back in town last night shortly after 11:00. I could hardly keep my eyeballs open to greet Steven at the airport, and I wanted nothing more than to be home and cuddled up with my boys. We don't live more than twelve minutes from the airport, but I'm pretty sure I nodded off about six times before we reached the driveway- thank goodness I had Steven as my driver! When we got home I opened the front door, half asleep with shoes in hand and makeup smudged down my face, and headed straight for the bedroom...

Let me back up a minute: First, remember that our house is still very bare and lacks decoration in most of the rooms - mainly the bedroom. Second, my mom was staying at our house taking care of the dogs while we were out of town.

Anyway, I headed for the bedroom, opened the door, and immediately became wide eyed when I noticed that our bedroom had been completely made over! It was such a wonderful birthday surprise. I honestly had no clue whatsoever what was going on back home while I was out traveling all over the South. My mom has "the touch" when it comes to decorating. Needless to say, our new bedroom looks amazing!

Thank you so much mom & dad for the wonderful birthday surprise and making our house feel a little more like a home. I absolutely love it!
