As you know, I'm no Suzie homemaker, but for the past few months I've been branching out of my go-to spaghetti and meatballs recipe and experimenting a bit in the kitchen. I don't dare for anything drastic, but my recipe collection is definitely growing. I'm constantly searching Pinterest for new and easy weeknight meals, but sometimes I forget that the best place to go to for recipes is my mom. She is the queen of an easy weeknight meal (we were a very active family when I was younger, so no one had time to spend hours in the kitchen slaving over a stove).
So last week, when the winter weather finally began to show up in Alabama, I went on the hunt for a warm, comfort meal. I thought back to what my mom (or in this case dad) would cook when the first frost of the year hit the grown and I immediately thought of my dad's delicious chili. I called him up for the recipe, bundled up in my Uggs, and hit the grocery store.
To say this chili is amazing would be an understatement. It's seriously mouthwatering (hence the name). I cooked a huge pot of this awesomeness last Monday, and Steven and I ate on it all week long. Even by Thursday night we were scrapping the bottom of the pot as to get every last bite possible.
And what kind of person would I be if I didn't share this pot of goodness with you all?! Not a very nice one. So, without further ado, I bring you my dad's famous mouthwatering chili.
Yum! That looks delicious. I'm thinking I want to make some chili once I'm finally done moving into my new home. :D
