How Did You Get Here?

3.13.2014

Sometimes, while I'm checking my pageviews, I like to click over to the traffic sources and read the hilarious things people googled/searched which (accidentally) brought them to my blog. Some of the search terms are funny, some are obvious how they found me, and some of them are just plan ridiculous. Let's take a look at a few of my favorite.
My boyfriend surprised me with a D...
Dog? Diamond? I need to know what it was that your boyfriend surprised you with. I have high hopes that your boyfriend surprised you with either a dog or a diamond because you really can't go wrong with either. I'm guessing this search term brought her to one of my many posts about my dogs and/or my engagement ring.

My fiancé bought me cheap chocolate
Umm, I'm sorry? This search term popped up a few days after Valentine's Day, so I'm assuming this poor girl was given cheap chocolate on Valentine's Day. The horror...

Letter of my few day at school
By the looks of the grammar in this search term, it's quite obvious that this person did, in fact, only attend a few day(s) at school. I don't know what kind of letter this person was searching for, but I'm going to guess that he probably found the letter of advice that I wrote to my high school self.

City was paralyzed by 3 inches of snow
I saw this search term in my traffic sources a couple of weeks after the great #snowpocalypse2014, so I'm guessing this person was Northerner doing a little research to figure out how an entire city could go into gridlock with only a few inches of snow/ice. I'm sure he found this post recapping the snow/ice event, and I really hope it helped him understand that in the South, we aren't prepared for this kind of weather!

Beautiful Save the Dates
I couldn't help but smile when I saw that someone had searched for this and it brought them to my blog. Granted, I'm a little biased, but I do indeed think that my Save the Dates are beautiful! Hopefully this person had the same opinion when she found the post where I showed off the beautiful design.

Small town Sparks
Could this have been a (future) family member? It's possible. After all, in exactly 30 days from today my last name will be Sparks. My guess is that whoever searched for this probably found the post where I talked about going back to visit my (small) hometown.

Bama crusted parmesan chicken
I don't know where the "Bama" came from, but I did post a recipe one time on how to make Crusted Parmesan Chicken. Maybe I'll change the name of the original dish to Bama Crusted Parmesan Chicken. It does have a pretty good ring to it.

Girls keep feeling my muscles
This search term just screams pubescent middle school boy, doesn't it? I honestly have no idea where on the blog this search term took him to, but I'm guess I didn't solve his problem. Here's a bit of advice, however, if girls are "feeling your muscles" it probably means they have a crush on you. Keep pumping the iron, dude.

My happy list
I have so many things on my happy list, and when I looked back to see where this search term could have taken this person, I realized there are multiple posts about things that make me happy! I'm guessing, however, they found this post about my actual happy list.

Why Did I Have a Dream about a bird?
And this search term may just be my favorite out of them all. I'm guessing whoever searched for this is also a bird hater and was desperate to figure out what she/he would dream of something so horrific. I can't tell you why you had a dream about a bird, but I'm sure this took this poor person to the post about my bird dream experience where they had to endure the pain of reading about another bird dream experience.

  2. Ahaha this cracks me up! I've gotten similar bizarre searches on my blog. I get a lot of hits from Russian dating websites (?!?! why ?!?!), and then I go to these Russian dating sites, and there is NOTHING about my blog on there! "Bama Crusted Parmesan Chicken" does have a nice ring to it.

  4. It is always funny when it something totally random that you have no idea what they were searching for and how it came to your blog. I constantly get "Marilyn Monroe Cake" search traffic because I used a Marilyn quote and talked about my cake decorating class. Sure they are quite disappointed. The Girls keep feeling my muscles is hilarious!

  10. Haha! I'm dying. These are just too funny. Somebody once found my blog by searching for "how to know if you have curves?' I'm guessing that if you have to ask, you probably don't have curves.
