Five on Friday

11.08.2013

Is it really already Friday? Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way complaining, but this week just seemed to fly by. If only every week could be this quick and painless..
Nevertheless, let's get down to business. It's time for Five on Friday:

One.
I'm third wheeling it with the parentals today for a road trip over to Oxford, Mississippi to visit the little broski and do some football tailgating. Steven is driving to Arkansas tomorrow to make an appearance at a wedding for one of his friends growing up (don't judge me for not going with him). I didn't want to sit it at the house alone all weekend, so I decided to tag along with my parents. As you can tell here, we always have a good time in Oxford. #sober #justkidding
Two.
Save The Dates are being mailed out today! I finally got to see them in person last night and they were beyond amazing. They are so different from anything I've ever seen, which is the main reason I love them so much. I can't wait to show them off here next week! It's taking everything in me not to post them now, but I want to make sure everyone has a chance to receive the real thing in person before showing them off on the interwebs.

Three.
We have decided on a honeymoon destination. After going back and forth for months, Steven and I have finally decided on Jamaica. We are staying at the Sandals Montego Bay resort for six days. I've heard nothing but great things about this resort, so I know it will be the perfect honeymoon!

Four.
I received my first red holiday cup of the season from Starbucks this week and it made me happier than a kid on Christmas. You know the holidays are upon us when Starbucks breaks out their signature Holiday drinks and pours them into one of those sacred red cups. I'm doing my best to resist the urge to order Starbucks every day of the week from now up until January.

Five.
If you were around these parts yesterday than you read about my love for Birmingham. I took this picture yesterday evening while driving downtown for happy hour. Is there anything more beautiful than the sun setting over a city skyline? I don't think so.
Oh, and Roll Tide. Let's send those dirty corndogs back to Baton Rouge with their tails between their legs. I would also like to thank Oregon for there top notch performance last night against Stanford. I guess someone was a little too distracted by their "We Want Bama" tshirt to concentrate on the game. Maybe next year, Ducks.

Have a lovely weekend!

  1. We went to Jamaica and loved it! We were in Ocho Rios, but being in Montego Bay you will be able to go directly to your resort from the airport. We would definitely go back to Jamaica!

I think I'm ready to put up Christmas stuff myself. even when I see things up already and i'm like they are crazy. but it's how things feel when you have Christmas decorations up and plus I have a owl Christmas rug I'm ready to put out LOL cant wait to help my parents decorate. that is if i'm not working when they do it. if I am oh well. I will get to see it when I get home of course.
