Weekend Shenanigans

11.18.2013

I've come to the conclusion that weekends will never be long enough to have all the fun that I want to have and do all the sleeping that I need to do all at the same time. There just isn't enough time for it all. I propose extending the weekends to include Mondays and Fridays as well. Who's with me on that one?
But I suppose until someone passes that law Mondays will continue to be the day that we try to hold our eyeballs open and write about our weekends. So here we go...

Friday night the fiancé and I met up for dinner with our favorite newlyweds. The four of us hadn't seen each other since Steven and I crashed their honeymoon at the beach a few weeks ago, so a dinner date was definitely overdue.
Oh, and then this happened. Little momma and I showed up wearing the exact same outfit. How does that even happen? Long blue tops, black leggings, boots, and grey animal print scarves. We looked ridiculous and adorably cute all at the same time.
Saturday morning Steven woke up and headed to Georgia to visit his family. I stayed back to do some deep cleaning around the house. It was obviously overdue because I came across enough dog hair to make a whole new dog. Gross. After my cleaning spree I met with some girls at a bar down the street to watch football and drink beer. Our fun carried on long after the games were over and I crawled into my bed Saturday night way past my bedtime.

Sunday I woke up bright and early, grabbed and extra large diet coke, and drove to Georgia to surprise Steven. You see, he was supposed to be doing this racing thing at the Atlanta Speedway on Sunday, and I could tell he was disappointed (i.e. he was being short with me on the phone all weekend and I knew he was pissed) that I wasn't there to watch. I felt guilty so I decided to make the trip over to Atlanta Sunday and surprise him at the Racetrack. I had just crossed into Georgia when his mom called me to tell me the racing thing was canceled due to rain. Just our luck. I, however, continued on and surprised him and his parent's house. He had no idea that I was on my way and his mood towards me instantly changed when I walked in the door. We needed up spending the day with his family and got back into town late last night. I'm not sure I have ever been as tired as I was last night climbing into bed. I was asleep before my head even hit the pillow and didn't move a muscle until my damn alarm went off this morning.

Is it Friday yet?

  6. How fun that y'all showed up matching! My college roommate and I used to unintentionally match all the time - we left the house at different times and would meet up in an afternoon class wearing the same thing!

I tagged you with the Liebster award on my blog :)
