2014

1.02.2014

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fabulous time ringing in 2014. Steven and I had a low key NYE this year, and I have to say it was pretty nice. We got dolled up for dinner with friends, ate a fabulous meal, and then came home to ring in the new year cuddled up on the couch with our fur babies. If we are being honest here, we didn't even make it until midnight. We actually celebrate the New Year on Eastern time zone because we knew we would be fast asleep before midnight our time. I had the privilege of not only receiving one perfect New Years kiss, but receiving three - one from the fiancé and one from each pup. I'm one lucky girl.
We woke up New Years Day and immediately began taking down all of the beautifully festive Christmas decorations in the house. I was both sad to take it all down and happy to have my house back to normal again. After Christmas decorations were packed and placed back in the dark corner of the closet Steven and ran a few errands and spent the rest of the afternoon in sweats on the couch watching the entire first season of The Glades on Netflix. I had never heard of the show before Steven decided we should start watching it, but I have to say I got pretty into it.
As you can tell, Steven and I were major party animals this New Years. Except we weren't. Like at all. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time being lazy together.

Here's to you 2014. May this be the best year yet!

  2. Just stumbled across your blog! And I agree with Erin, my NYE eve was filled with cuddles with two cute little boys and movies with friends, haha. Who says ringing in the new year in sweats isn't great? ;)
