We are only a week into 2014, but I already know that this is going to be the best year to date. Don't get me wrong, 2013 was pretty fantastic, however, 2014 has something big in store. After sixteen long months of planning and waiting, the fiancé and I will officially tie the knot in 2014 and become Mr. & Mrs. To say that I'm looking forward to finally marrying the man of my dreams would be a vast understatement! As we are nearing the homestretch of wedding planning, I thought I would recap the last year of events...
December 20, 2012
Steven took me by complete surprise when he asked me to marry him in front a crowd of people at the Alabama Theatre. You can read all about our engagement here.
January 2013
We booked our venue (the most gorgeous wedding venue of all time if I do say so myself) & hired a wedding coordinator.
March 2013
I asked five of the best girls I know to stand by my side on my big day as my bridesmaids.
And we had engagement pictures taken by the amazing Lizzy Nicole Photography.
April 2013
My parents hosted an amazing engagement party for Steven and I. We had so many family members and friends who came out to help us celebrate this next chapter in our lives.
May 2013
I said Yes to the dress at Kleinfield in NYC
August 2013
My MOH and I went Bridesmaid dress shopping and found the perfect dress for my girls to wear on the big day.
September 2013
We booked a caterer, decided on a menu for cocktail hour and dinner, and met with a wedding cake designer to sketch out a cake design.
November 2013
We mailed out Save The Dates! And they exceeded my wildest expectations!
All in all, it was a busy year of wedding planning! I am very grateful that we were able to accomplish so much so quickly. Hopefully (fingers crossed) that means it will be easy sailing from here until April.
