Bumpdate || Week 14

5.13.2015

How far along: 14 weeks

Due Date: November 7, 2015

Baby is the size of: A lemon! About 3.4 inches from crown to rump and weighing in around 1.5 ounces.

Symptoms: Heartburn here and there, round ligament pain, and a growing belly! I've been so blessed with an easy pregnancy so far!

Gender: We have the gender ultrasound scheduled for May 28th, and we'll find out the sex with family and friends the following evening at a gender reveal BabyQ. I can't wait! I've been thinking pink for the past couple of weeks. Mother's intuition maybe?

Name: We're waiting until after we find out the sex to reveal the name.

Movement: Nothing yet. I'm anxiously waiting to feel that first flutter!

Nursery: We are hoping to get a start on clearing out the man cave this weekend. I want it cleaned out in the coming weeks so it will be ready for a fresh coat of paint as soon as we find out the sex!

Maternity Clothes: I'm mixing and matching maternity items with non-maternity items. I may or may not have walked around the office with my pants unbuttoned after lunch on Monday.. They were tight and quite uncomfortable!

Sleep: No complaints here! I'm still crawling into bed shortly after 9:00 each night. I'm out like a light and usually sleep straight through the night.

Best moment this week: Celebrating my little brother's graduation from Ole Miss in Oxford this past weekend. Steven and I also decided at last minute to make a detour home Sunday and surprise his grandparents and family in Arkansas on Mother's Day. It was so good to see everyone!
Missing anything: Nope!

Cravings/Aversions: Milk and blue Gatorade. Baby is still all about the sweets! I'm still having an aversion to any kind of hot green vegetables (broccoli, green beans, asparagus, etc.), which I normally love. Grilled chicken (non-breaded) also sounds pretty gross these days.

Mood: Beyond happy and a little anxious. I am enjoying every single minute of this pregnancy, but I am so ready to know if we are having a sweet little girl or boy so I can start decorating and purchasing things for him or her.

Looking forward to: My sweet Godson turns ONE this week and we are helping him celebrate this weekend at his first birthday party. I can't believe he is already a year old!

Husband is: Making me smile everyday! On Mother's Day he reached over to my belly and told me Happy Mother's Day as he rested his hand on the bump. I can't wait to see the special bond this little one and he share!

New mommy question: We have started the hunt for nursery furniture, specifically cribs. Any recommendations on crib styles or the best place to purchase furniture?
