Celebrating Charlie Beth

9.15.2015

Sunday was an incredibly special day as we celebrated the upcoming arrival of our sweet Charlie Beth. I am blessed beyond measure to have five amazing women in my life who hosted a beautiful shower for our girl. Every detail was filled with so much thought and love. From the tulle skirt around the table down to the monogrammed cookies, it was perfect!
Pregnancy is even more fun when you get to do it with you best friend! I can't wait to welcome this girl's second sweet boy into the world in January!
This blanket was such a sweet surprise. My great grandmother knitted this for my cousin before he was born forty years ago. She didn't yet know the gender, so she made the blanket both, pink and blue. It took her an entire year to knit this blanket, so it was the only one she ever made. Forty years later my sweet Aunt Sheryl passed down the blanket for my girl to use. It is such a cherished gift, and I can't wait to continue to pass this down for generations to come.
Steven's grandmother gifted us with the most adorable outfits that she has been busy working on since the day we announced that we were expecting a baby girl. There are so many precious outfits, bibs, burp cloths, and a beautiful blanket that she made with love. I adore them all and can't wait to dress up our little Charlie Beth in each and every outfit!
I was surrounded by so much love on Sunday from family and friends as they came out to celebrate this new life. I am so grateful that there are already so many people who love our girl. We are so blessed!

  6. The homemade gifts are the most special! My 95 year old great aunt hand wrote a cookbook full of her recipes for me for my wedding and hand made a quilt for Ella for my shower. My mom also gave me a blanket my grandmother crocheted for my sister as a baby as well as a blanket my dad had when he was a baby that I plan on using in Ella's newborn pictures. I love that elephant outfit too. Super cute :)
