Baby Sparks #2 Bumpdate || 11 Weeks

8.24.2017

How far along: 11 Weeks, 5 days

Due Date: March 10, 2018

Baby is the size of: a Lime! About 1.61 inches long and weighing in around 0.25 oz. Baby is moving around like crazy now, and his/her feet and hands are no longer webbed.

Gender: I had my first baby dream of this pregnancy and in my dream I gave birth to a baby girl, soooo now I'm not so confident that this baby is a baby boy after all.

Name: Remember last week when we had names picked out and I was so excited about it? Well now I'm second guessing them. Both of them. This child may stay nameless forever.

Symptoms: Still nauseated here and there, but it is getting so much better! I haven't gotten my energy back yet. I'm hoping that will come around in the next week or so.

Weight Gain: Fluctuating right around pre-pregnancy weight.

Movement: I'm ready for it!! Hopefully I'll start feeling that sweet little flutters soon.

Cravings/Aversions: Nothing really comes to mind except for plain baked chicken. Gross. I couldn't do chicken during my pregnancy with Charlie Beth either.

Missing anything: Sushi and wine both sound delicious right about now.

Sleep: It's not been great and I can't figure out why. I've been waking up several times a night tossing and turning and waking up the next morning with a sore back.

Mood: Emotional. To the extreme.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. That and flowy dresses are about all I'm doing these days. The jeans have officially been moved to the back of the closet for a while.

Nursery: I know which room in the house we are going to turn into the nursery. Does that count for anything? Otherwise, no. Nothing has been done in this area.

Best moment this week: Spending a lazy weekend at home with my two loves. We had absolutely no plans and it was wonderful!

Looking forward to: Seeing our little peanut on ultrasound on Monday.
Husband is: Definitely noticing that bump has popped. He made a comment about me definitely looking pregnant earlier this week. haha :)

Yep. As a matter of face that is the same dress in different colors. Whoops!

Baby Sparks #2 Bumpdate || 9 & 10 Weeks

8.16.2017

Due to a sick baby and mommy, rainy weather, and just feeling all around exhausted, I never got around to taking my weekly bump picture or finishing my bumpdate last week. I decided it would be easier to just combine weeks 9 and 10 here for one big update.
How far along: 10 Weeks, 4 days

Due Date: March 10, 2018

Baby is the size of:
at 9 weeks: A southern Pecan! Baby is now considered a "fetus" instead of an embryo and is developing more distinct facial features

at 10 weeks: A Tart Kumquat! Baby is developing features such as hair, teeth buds, elbows, and other joints that bend.

Gender: Last week I had a strong feeling that this little babe is a boy, but this week I'm starting to hop back on the fence. Either way, I scheduled our "sneak peek" ultrasound so we will know for sure on September 22!

Name: WE HAVE NAMES (for now) !!!!!! We have decided on a girl name and a boy name that we both love. So excited about these names!

Symptoms: The nausea is easing up (thank goodness!), but the fatigue is still in full force. I also came down with a dreaded summer cold last week, so that knocked me down for a few days.

Weight Gain: I had a doctor appointment on Monday and I was down 1 lb from pre-pregnancy weight.

Movement: Crossing my fingers that I might start feeling little flutters in the next few weeks. I've read that you start feel movements earlier with each pregnancy. I started feeling Charlie Beth moving around between 14 and 15 weeks.

Cravings/Aversions: Leftovers sound so gross lately. I'm used to taking leftovers from dinner the night before to work for lunch the next day, but the past couple of weeks pulling food out of the refrigerator from the night before has made me want to gag. Also, the thought of eggs make me want to vomit.

Missing anything: Sushi sounds really good right about now, specifically a spicy tuna roll.

Sleep: I broke out the pregnant pillow last week. It was already getting uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach (my favorite way to sleep).

Mood: Mainly emotional with a side of moodiness. ;)

Maternity Clothes: My awesome mom (or Boo as Charlie Beth calls her) took me shopping on Saturday for some maternity clothes. I'm still in this awkward in-between stage where none of my regular clothes fit right, but I don't quite look pregnant enough to sport the bump.

Nursery: No thoughts have been given to this category yet. I'll start planning and designing once we know if this baby is a boy or a girl.

Best moment this week(s): Probably deciding on a boy name and a girl name that we both love.

Looking forward to: Seeing our little babe on ultrasound in a couple of weeks!
Husband is: Excited that we have decided on names so I will stop texting him name suggestions all day everyday while he's at work. ;)

Baby Sparks #2 Bumpdate || 8 Weeks

8.02.2017

How far along: 8 weeks, 4 days

Due Date: March 10, 2018

Baby is the size of: a wild strawberry! Although I can't feel it yet, this 0.04oz baby is already moving his or her arms and legs like crazy.

Gender: I'm hearing from more and more people that they think this little one is a boy. I'm still feeling the boy vibe as well. We'll find out sometime in September for sure.

Name: This child is going to be nameless for a while. We have a couple of girl names that we really like, but boy names are still proving to be impossible.

Symptoms: Nausea and exhaustion are both in full swing. The exhaustion is so much worse the second time because instead of taking naps or sleeping in, I'm chasing a wild toddler around. I'm hoping both symptoms start easing off in the coming weeks.

Weight Gain: no gain or loss this week

Movement: Nothing yet, obviously.

Cravings/Aversions: No particular cravings or aversions. Food in general is hit or miss. I can't stand the thought of eating in the morning time. I usually get hungry around lunch time, but then I start feeling nauseated right after eating.

Missing anything: My energy

Sleep: No complaints here. I'm about to breakout the pregnancy pillow though because sleeping on my stomach is becoming uncomfortable.

Mood: Emotional

Maternity Clothes: mostly just leggings and flowy tops for now.

Nursery: By this time in my last pregnancy I had already ordered fabric swatches for both, a girl and boy nursery. This go around I haven't even thought about the nursery yet.

Best moment this week: Being able to take a Sunday afternoon nap while Charlie Beth and her Daddy spent the afternoon together.

Looking forward to: Our next ultrasound at the end of the month!

Husband is: So patient with my whining and laziness. ;)
